Bail-Out? Loan? Debate Now? Debate Later?

Well, I'm as befuddled and frustrated as are you, I am sure. I haven't posted because my dial-up is kicking my tail. I just think I have to resign from blogging until one day we can have something better than dial-up. It is way too time consuming to try to blog this way. I was kidding myself to think otherwise.

In the mean time. I see that McCain has a proposal that has many promising notes in it, in principal I would like to say it is better than Paulson's (bare proposal to bare proposal) but, I don't know enough about it just yet.

I will say that the earmarks on the Paulson plan are disgusting  (student loans, bad car debts, and some parts that Chris Dodd has had written in, to be added onto the Paulson plan would mean that 20% of the money paid back on the $700 billion would go to ACORN, {Yeah, ACORN -  as in registering dead people, 14 yr olds, etc}).

I did see Republican Senator Shelby yesterday saying he had received correspondence from economists from Ivy league schools and people all over speaking out against the Paulson plan. That was disconcerting. Throughout all this, the drum beat of urgency is making it difficult for everyone from Wall Strret to Main Street to think clearly.

I'm completely with McCain on the debate. It is unseemly that they would debate when the country is in such a prevailing crisis. I would love an agreement to happen earlier enough today that they could debate. But, it just speaks to Nobama's lack of character that he is insisiting on the debate on schedule, in any case.

Pay attention you all! It is essential that we educate ourselves and vote and contact our representatives. And as always, at all times, pray! Pray for our leaders to be clear-minded, bold and inspired. Pray for them to have the ability and wisdom to communicate, and gain consensus. Pray that we the people would wake up and pay attention. And that we would all desire good and honest measure be taken. And pray that sham-artists will be exposed, utterly and completely for what they are, what ever party  they hide in!

Ok, signing off! May America live in such a way as to be blessed by Our Lord!

Axelrod = Astroturfing = Smears = Nobama's Campaign

Since this is designed for my friends and family, and I know that most of you don't have time to spend on the web getting the latest in the behind the scenes of this campaign, I want to give you a bit of backgroud. Small.

David Axelrod is Nobama's campaign manager. He additionally is known for the public relations business he runs, when not running campaigns for leftist candidates. His reputation in the business and political community includes his ability to "astroturf" which is an artifical "grassroots" campaign. Astroturf as in you professionally pay for and organize internet activities, youtube videos, commentors (called sock puppets) and the like. Making it look like highly motivated individuals participating in the election process by putting their thoughts and research on line in support of a candidate. When really, it's highly motivated people in direct association with those candidates and paid for it to boot. Not the same as you or I getting on line and talking about the election.

A great piece of investigation has been put together tracking the origin of a smear video which showed up on Youtube about Sarah Palin. It's a long article, but I want to point out 2 things in case you don't have time to read it all.

  1. The female voice over (as far as can be determined by regular people with limited tech resources, but lots of determination and common sense) appears to be the same one use regularly by Axelrod's firm. She's certainly paid when she does that work. Hmmm...
  2. Within minutes of the story being posted, all the videos and accounts on Youtube referenced for this story vanished! Amazing! (too bad for the Nobama group that there are backups!)
  3. IF the story weren't true, then these accounts and videos would be by true grassroots people, who would be proud to say so! And proud for more people to see their work.
  4. THE ONLY REASON for removal of such info, so quickly after the story's publication is, there was indeed something to hide. Which = astroturfing!

Here it is!

Coming to a Theater Near YOU!

There is a story coming that has been developed by a conservative blogger! It will be posted sometime after midnight and maybe as late is early morning on Monday. The story pertains to Axelrod's astroturfing and will make a SMACK noise upside Nobama's head! I will link to it in the morning, but until then, here is the link to the site itself, in case you can get there before I do.

In the meantime, the polls are not looking so hot. The Nobama spin machine has taken a few good swipes at the McCain/Palin team this week, and seemed to gain traction. It amazes me, because Obama once again, decided to hesitate before showing leadership in the critical financial news this week. He seems to require and inordinate amount of time to lick his finger and stick it in the air to see which way the wind is blowing, BEFORE giving his opinion, and then whatever he gives, he will have a new version in 2-3 days. Remember Georgia?

There are stories coming in of ACORN working their fiendish efforts to thwart election laws. Also, at the latter part of the week, Nobama told his hounds of hell  "I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face.”

SEE? I told ya'. We have to be willing to talk about politics. Pick your topics, know 'em, own 'em, and speak up! Politics can no longer be thought of as impolite conversation. It is TOO important to give the right to lead us away, by sticking our polite heads in the sand.

And lastly - this is a quote from McCain addressing the National Guard Association today. With regards to his thoughts on Nobama's opposition to the surge in Iraq last year. “Whether it’s a reversal in war, or an economic emergency, he reacts as a politician and not as a leader, seeking an advantage for himself instead of a solution for his country,”.

Electric!

3. electrifying; thrilling; exciting; stirring: The atmosphere was electric with excitement.via Dictionary.com

Several Friday mornings ago, I was home taking care of stuff around the house, trying to beat down a lingering cough. While swigging coffee and folding laundry, I was watching FOX News, trying to get a handle on who on earth was going to be McCain's VP pick. So much was at stake. Who he picked had the power to doom the ticket. It also had the power to keep some of the momentum going McCain had really begun to bring by his outstanding showing at the Forum at Rick Warren's church.

When the rumblings started about Palin, I quickly hopped on the 'net to check it out. I checked out Drudge, Michelle Malkin and AOSH. These were locations I knew would give the skinny and it would be trustworthy. I needed to know - should I be alarmed? Or cautiously optimistic? NEVER in my wildest dreams did I expect to be THRILLED, and feel like I had watched the game winning touch down in the Super Bowl!

Throughout America, many of us are coming out of our comfort zones, and now voicing our political opinions in this election, where before we seemed to have had a bad dose of the mully-grubs. Mully-grubs, because we did not see an election process that we could get excited about. Invest in. Now we see the chance to not only put reform minded conservatives into the White House, but people who have actually taken difficult stances for what they believed in and WON. These are people we can get behind for the push to the White House and be proud of our efforts, and proud of their results when they get there.

This blog is my effort to share with my friends and family my passion for the election process & keep the focus on the critical issues of the day in the last bit of this election. I will daily list links to articles that will inform, encourage and keep the goal in view. I am not the type to have much to offer of my own. I'll just say it, I'm not that smart. But, like any good shopper, I can find the right product! So, to save you time, I will make sure you can come here and find links that will tell you what you need to know! Ok, there may be the occasional bubbling over post.

The atmosphere is akin the electrically charged, cold, autumn home football game crowd, with one minute to go on the 10 yard line. It's my hope to channel that electricity to ACTION.

What sort of ACTION? I'm glad you asked!

  1. We need to be informed. I want to make that easy for you to do.
  2. We need to be able to pick an issue or two that we feel strongly about and then...
  3. Determine how to converse about why our candidates are the right choice because...(in our humble opinion, of course!)
  4. We need to get over being afraid to discuss issues with friends, people at the store and the gas station. We have people skills, Ya'll. Use them. Is it more important that we cocoon opurselves politically, so as not to ever possibly offend someone? Or is it more important to not have any regrets that we each did our part to makes sure we don't, as a country, elect a man to office who doesn't even respect his electorate?

Game on!
